50 Years of Royal Oak
Established in the Swiss mountains of Le Brassus in 1875, Audemars Piguet is an Haute Horlogerie manufacture specializing in high complication watches. Described as an "iconoclast" since its first production in 1972, the Royal Oak continues to evolve to this day in various sizes and materials even after 50 years from its birth.
This exhibition consists of rare vintage timepieces such as original models from 1972, exclusive documents and photographs, as well as videos that narrate the history of the Royal Oak. These include the original design drawings and technical production documents, both of which are presented for the first time in Japan. Visitors can observe "Master Classes" (limited availability) to get a close-up view of the production and polishing of the iconic octagonal bezels. This very unique opportunity will guide you through the 50 years of the Royal Oak history, and reveal the true reasons "Why is Royal Oak limited in quantity"?
