Petra Lamers-Schuetze (Executive Editor, TASCHEN)

Studied art history, archaeology, and French and Italian literature in Mainz and Rome. She contributed to the Louis-Jean Desprez exhibition at the National Museum in Stockholm and the Grand Tour exhibition at both the Tate Gallery in London and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. Since 1998, she has worked with TASCHEN in Cologne, where she serves as Executive Editor. In this role, she oversees the art program up to Classic Modernism and has established the renowned Classics series, which re-edits bibliophile works from the Middle Ages through the 19th century. Her notable publications include XXL monographs on Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Bruegel, Bosch, Caravaggio, Vermeer, Klimt, and Schiele. Among the series' classic bestsellers are The Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, The Atlas of Human Anatomy, Hiroshige's One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.
