They are currently members of KOKUYO's YOHAK DESIGN STUDIO and also work on various design projects as KANAISASAKI.
Our major works include "THE CAMPUS," "THINK OF THINGS," and "COPY CORNER" for KOKUYO.
They also do art direction for projects including "FRUITFUL SOCKS" for HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE, the YouTube series "Game Sanpo," and "KIGOCOCHI" for Mitsubishi Estate Home. Awards received include the JAGDA New Designer Award, Tokyo ADC Award, Good Design Award (Gold Prize), Red Dot Design Award, and KOKUYO Design Award.

TORAFU ARCHITECTS

Founded in 2004 by Koichi Suzuno and Shinya Kamuro, TORAFU ARCHITECTS employs a working approach based on architectural thinking. Works by the duo include a diverse range of products, from architectural design to interior design, exhibition space design, product design, spatial installations and film making. Amongst some of their mains works are 'TEMPLATE IN CLASKA,' 'NIKE 1LOVE,' 'HOUSE IN KOHOKU,' 'airvase,' 'Gulliver Table' and 'BigT.' 'Light Loom (Canon Milano Salone 2011)' was awarded the Grand Prize of the Elita Design Award. In 2015, airvase is selected for permanent collection of Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. "TORAFU ARCHITECTS Inside Out," published by TOTO Publishing, was released in 2016.

Mai Tsunoo

Graduated from Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University. Worked for manufacturer before becoming assistant to design engineer Shunji Yamanaka, 2012-2016. Spent one year in Scotland. Currently freelance.
Writes articles and copy for media outlets and exhibitions, while exploring a smooth writing style with clear messaging.
Major work includes exhibition planning for "Potentialities: Exhibition for the Possible Future," 70th Anniversary Exhibition of Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, held at National Art Center, Tokyo, 2018; exhibition planning assistance and texts for "Future Elements: Experimental Laboratory for Prototyping in Science and Design," 2024, and exhibition planning assistance for "pooploop," 2024-2025, both at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT.

Naoya Sekiya

Born Niigata Prefecture. Professor and Head of Center for Integrated Disaster Information Research, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, University of Tokyo. Specializes in Disaster Information Science and Social Psychology.
BA from Faculty of Policy Management, Keio University. Ph.D in Socio-Informatics, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, University of Tokyo. Formerly Lecturer and Associate Professor, Faculty of Sociology, Toyo University, and Associate Professor at Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, University of Tokyo, before moving current position.
Publications include "Kankyo kokoku no shinri to senryaku" (Psychology and strategy of environmental advertising), 2009; "Fuhyohigai" (Reputational damage), 2011; "Saigai no shakai shinri" (Social psychology of disaster), 2011 and "Saigai joho" (Disaster information), 2021. Awards include Society of Socio-Informatics Prize, Japan Society for Corporate Communication Studies Prize, Uchikawa Yoshimi Memorial Prize, Okawa Publication Prize, Docomo Mobile Science Award and Minister's Award for Distinguished Disaster Management Service.
